The Culzean
Sampler 1796

The
Culzean sampler was embroidered in the year 1796 by Agnes
Allardice. Stitched in minute stitches it features classic
floral images and alphabets. The embroidery can be seen at
Culzean Castle on the Scottish
Ayrshire coast and is in the care of
The National Trust for Scotland.
Cobweb Designs was commissioned by the NTS to design cross
stitch kits to celebrate this very pretty embroidery.

lovely cushion, in shades of pinks and jade greens, has been
inspired by the Culzean sampler.
The
kit comes complete with the cushion/pillow pad and all materials, including
deep pink piping cord and backing fabric, required
to create this delightful cushion/pillow. It is beautifully packaged
in a carrier bag.
