This
exquisite sampler is a tribute to the dramatic and tragic life
of Mary Queen of Scots. It
illustrates some of the most important places she visited during
her life including her birthplace, Linlithgow Palace, The Royal
Palace of Falkland and Hermitage Castle.
During her years of imprisonment this fine needlewoman
sought solace by indulging her love of tapestry and lace making.

beautiful thistle cushion has been inspired by thistles stitched
on bed hangings by Mary Queen of Scots during her imprisonment
in
Loch Leven Castle.
The original embroideries can be seen at
Scone Palace near Perth, Scotland.
The
kit comes complete with the cushion pad and all materials,
including piping cord, required to create this stunning
cushion. It is beautifully packaged in a carrier bag.
