This
3 day creative course will teach students how to take an image which
inspires them to an embroidery project of their own
with guidance in choosing colour schemes, fabrics and
threads.
The course content can be altered to suit group requirements.
A visit to a local heritage centre, stately home, or art gallery
will be arranged for the course. Whether student's taste
is traditional or contemporary, whether they are a novice to art
and embroidery or experienced, they will find a treasure of design
knowledge, artistic tricks and myths quashed!
All materials (art and needlework) required for the workshop will
be provided.
Students will have the use of a digital camera, laptop, printer,
scanner, light box, photocopier, or tracing / graph paper if
preferred, and all
relevant computer software (Overseas students will have use of
digital camera and laptop with extra printing/copier facilities as
can be arranged.)
Maximum number of students - 10.
Top quality venues can be arranged with residential accommodation
if required.
The venue and dates will be arranged to suit your group and we
will liaise with other groups in your area to keep travel and
accommodation expenses a minimum. Please email
or phone to discuss your group requirements, course costs and
