  • Description

ABERDEEN is an important Royal Burgh, University and Martine city, in the former district of Mar. It sits on the estuaries of the Rivers Dee and Don  This lovely sampler is stitched in the colours of the “Silver” city. It features Provest Skene;’s House. King’s College, The Metcat Cross, St Machar’s Cathedral, Provost Ross’ House and Smith’s Façade and the cow on the sampler is called “Angus” – of course! Aberdeen Angus is perhaps the premier of Scottish beef.
